Grounding Practices
- Spend 3-5 minutes outside and barefoot on the grass, dirt, or sand. 
- Visualize yourself growing roots like a tree. See the roots spread deep and wide into the earth - all the way to the core of the earth. Then imaging bringing the energy of the core of the earth back up through the roots and all the way up your body. 
- Buy a Grounding Mat. I love the Hooga mat. 
- Carry or hold a Root Chakra crystal (any Red crystal - Jasper, ruby, garnet, etc. Black crystals also ground & protect) 
Affirmations
- Identify an area of your life you want to see improve - Self-confidence, self-worth, self-love, creativity, abundance, etc. (see article on Chakras & associated affirmations) and pick an affirmation to say every day. 
- Select an affirmation for the week, post it on a sticky note, and place it somewhere you look often.
